What Is The Global Warming

we can find many definitions of global warming these days..

Wikipedia, says … Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation.

many earth changes can explain the global warming...

The earth has warmed up by about 0.6ÂșC in the last 100 years. During this period, human emissions of greenhouse gases have increased, largely as a result of the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. Scientists now think that these increased emissions, leading to the enhanced greenhouse effect, are the cause of global warming.

finally .. in my opinion the clear definition of the global warming is the increase of the temperature caused by natural causes and man-made causes .

An inconvenient truth

Al Gore, the ex vice-president, gave a solid presentation which broke those facts down into reasonable overviews. He took each section and described it with sensible examples. Those facts showed me how ‘Global Warming’ had already begun to effect our planet and what could happen if the world’s governments and individuals do not act in right away to reduce the impact on the environment.

Causes

Global Warming is caused by many things. The causes are split up into two groups, man-made or anthropogenic causes, and natural causes.

Natural Causes

Natural causes are causes created by nature. One natural cause is a release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands. Methane is a greenhouse gas. A greenhouse gas is a gas that traps heat in the earth's atmosphere. Another natural cause is that the earth goes through a cycle of climate change. This climate change usually lasts about 40,000 years.

Man-made Causes

Man-made causes probably do the most damage. There are many man-made causes. Pollution is one of the biggest man-made problems. Pollution comes in many shapes and sizes. Burning fossil fuels is one thing that causes pollution. Fossil fuels are fuels made of organic matter such as coal, or oil. When fossil fuels are burned they give off a green house gas called CO2. Also mining coal and oil allows methane to escape. How does it escape? Methane is naturally in the ground. When coal or oil is mined you have to dig up the earth a little. When you dig up the fossil fuels you dig up the methane as well.

One EFFECT

Although that there are many effects resulted by global warming , however I will talk a bout one main effect .

Increasing of the temperature mean a dramatically change infectious disease patterns around the globe. scientists all agree that all these changes will not be in a good way .

In its April 2007 report on the impacts of climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) warned that rising temperatures may result in "the altered spatial distribution of some infectious disease vectors," and will have "mixed effects, such as the decrease or increase of the range and transmission potential of malaria in Africa.

Things Can B Done In UAE To Avoid The Global Warming

UAE one of the most countries that effected by the global warming .the question is what can we do to reduce the global warming effects ?

  • Educate people and students a bout this issue .
  • try to reduce the number of the cars and trucks .
  • use the public transportation.
  • recycle metals , glass and plastic.
  • try to switch off from using petrol.
  • use a renewable energy.
There are many suggested solutions ,, although we should apply them not only find them ...
